"...Right." Okay. Wow. Maxon didn't know what to say or do do right now. This was just all so strange. He'd made things awkward, and he had a weird feeling in chest... It wasn't bad, simply... Unusual. He felt like he had so much to say to her, but yet he hardly knew her. How could she make him feel this way?
...Was this... Was this a CRUSH?! Oh Batman. ABORT ABORT. He was NOT ready to have a crush. He didn't even know what all having a crush ENTAILED! Was he going to have to tell her?! He couldn't tell her... He couldn't even keep from being awkward for longer than five seconds! This was a mess.
"Uh, no. We're not." They were supposed to be reading comics?! He'd completely forgotten that during HIS MINI MIND BREAKDOWN LIFE CRISIS THING. He stared down at the comic in his hand, not registering anything on its pages.
He shrugged. "Dunno. I've never made donuts before." It seemed like too much work, and he was lazy. He'd rather go give his money to the lady at the donut shop and get a box of piping hot donuts in return. He supported his local business owner, and he got great donuts without the risk of ruining them by doing something wrong while making them. EVERYONE WINS.
...Except for right now. Right now, Maxon was donut-less and very much losing at life
and at girls.
