Gwen loved learning. Honestly, she could've been a Ravenclaw. Not that she hadn't dreamed and dreamed of being a Hufflepuff. Hogwarts was the most well-known wizarding school, after all, and of course she had read Hogwarts, A History many times.
She grabbed the broom and said, once again, "UP!" The broom rose about two inches. Well, that was enough. She figured mounting a broom would be like mounting a horse. Obviously, not exactly, but enough. She knew, at least, which end was up for the broom. Gwen wished there was a intermediate group and wondered if any of the other first years felt the same way.
