Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium A slight smile crossed her face as she listened to the story of how a Centaur would get their first bow. It was more interesting then she would have thought and Hady was intrigued by what she was learning. That they would be getting to make their very own bows towards was just as awesome to her even if they wouldn't be doing it the proper Centaur way. She listened silent as each area of instructions were given making a mental note of it all.
Only did she move and rise up onto her feet when they were told to get started. Slowly moving towards the pile of wood Hady knelt down carefully inspecting the selection. It took a bit longer then she would've thought but given what Theroes had said earlier about it taking hours or even days the few minutes it took her was nothing. Nearing the bottom of the pile her fingers brushed against a piece while moving another. It made her stop and reach out for the wood once more a strange feeling overcoming her as she picked it up into her hand. This was it. The piece was most certainly 'speaking' her name and she knew this was the right one. It may have been silent when it 'choose' her just as her wand had but there was no doubting the connection she felt from it. The wood she had chosen was Hazel.
With the wood in hand she collected herself a piece of caterpillar silk before returning to her spot. Setting one end of the wood down on the ground and holding the other with her hand so it was upright she pressed her free hand against it's middle watching as it spun around to show it's natural belly to her. Prefect. Flicking her wrist slightly her hand wand landed firmly in her grasp where she cast, "Diffindo" to make one line in the center area and then another line roughly there inches below that one where her hand would go.
Taking a quick glance at her work she nodded to herself. Good. With the use of 'diffindo' once more she got to work carefully and slowly shaving off wood from one end of the wood and then the other. Hady took special care in making sure she didn't remove to much but yet enough that both ends were as even as she could get them, leaving the center where her hand would hold it thicker then the rest. When she was satisfied with her work she took a small step backwards to admire what she had done. It was lovely she had to admit.
The fourth year wasn't finished just yet though. She still had to tie the caterpillar silk to both ends of the wood. Which she did just then making sure it was nice and taught but not so much that it would snap. Next she had to come up with a name for her bow. Hazel eyes fixed on the creation in question she finally came up with what she wanted. Raising her wand once more this time using, "Intaglio" to help carve in the chosen name. Silent Whispers.
The name was perfect. The fact that the wood itself had whispered to her silently calling out to her was the reason for it's name. It just seemed to fit.
