Davie wasn't fast enough nor energetic enough to block the disarming spell this time, and Ava had done a good job of casting it. His wand started to fly out of his hand, as he looked on, wide-mouthed, and stretched out to catch it again. OOPS. That was embarrassing. He had to make up for this, fast. Davie opened his mouth and cast the first spell that came to mind, since he was getting a little bit hot now, and he always thought of the last book he'd read when he started to get hot.
He hadn't tried the jelly fingers curse before, but he was very curious to see it happen. So he waited anxiously after he cast it to see the results!
