How could she have forgotten about homework? Maybe it was something that she found uninteresting, because then it would have been a lot less memorable.

Before she could wonder about it any further, Paulina suddenly felt as if she was rooted to the spot. "Oh. I can't move, how interesting." Trying to take a few steps, Paulina found that her shoes refused to do anything.
