Was he late? Tyler checked his watch. Shouldn't be.

"G'day." He mumbled as he made his way into the office and took a seat. Seemed he was late since Emily had already started with the YATIs.

She was perfectly content with watching the faces of the YATI turn red, but company for the show was appreciated also. And would you look at that, the next to join the party was none other than Bellaire, of qualified Auror status. "Morning," she returned the greeting... minus the g' in front of it.

SPOILER!!: Luc

Such thought came as Luc shuffled his long legs through their section to the sight of Emily with his peeps.. "..Hello." Taking an empty seat. He didn't miss anything or much, hopefully.

And in close succession was the YATI whom she wasn't responsible for hiring. "Mr. Auditore," she greeted, watching as he was quick to take a seat.

Good, the team was assembling...

Almost.

SPOILER!!: Penelope!

Having seen the memo for a meeting in the Auror Office, she headed for that area, only to find quite a few already there, including Boss Lady. Hm? Had they started early or...? "G'morning," she greeted them before taking a seat as well.

The familiar face of Greenwell ticked another box on her mental checklist. Only a few remained to be seen.

SPOILER!!: Lex and Rhydian

That conversation had been going grand until it got to this part--because there had been a this part back then too, only difference was that explanation had been coming from her. She'd been the one having to explain she didn't mean to have feelings that weren't wanted by either party.

"I know how that works, really." To an extent at least. She'd never fallen in full blown love with anyone (nor did she wish to) but she had found herself in the unfortunate position of developing feelings for her bestfriend.

Rhydian's words...were the exact words she'd written, the exact ones she'd felt and it had her growing quiet for a long time because she DID know, first hand and didn't ever want to know ever again. He was making her feel worse about this whole thing. Having gone through it all, she should have approached it with more sensitivity than what she'd shown.

"You shouldn't think like that...don't...try to be enough for me." She'd never been raised to know that sentiment; nothing was ever enough. "It's....I...there's no 'enough' if I'm not looking for a limit. Wasn't made for............love."

And then the boss lady happened.

Talk about shoddy timing. Lex's face went a couple shades redder at the thought of just how much of their conversation the new boss lady had heard. It wasn't exactly the best first impression, not by a long shot and in all honesty, she'd forgotten about the notice she'd seen on her way in to collect the file. Mortified, that's what she was.

"Not interrupting at all." She insisted, trying to train her face back to its normal colour as she grabbed the file she'd come back for in the first place and hopped to her feet. "We'll.......finish this after." Though it wasn't a question. There was no way she would continue this line of conversation, not with the woman she needed to impress right there and others pouring into the room. It just wasn't happening.

Lex cleared her throat, drawing on her composure once more. Business time. Right. Russians. "My source tells me they're planning another meeting in the Alley within the fortnight. Did a couple checks on my own just to verify and the shopkeep's expecting a close of business on the..." She took a moment to flip open the document folder, "15th. Wouldn't re-open unless my pocket did some serious talking." Which wasn't necessary, she just needed confirmation something big was happening.

"Caught the goblin checking off an inventory of cages then having them brought right over to the Chimney Sweep Elf Shop's side entrance. Too big to be for the Elves themselves so it looks like they're expecting a few more of their furry friends. Looks to be another full blown transaction. It's not certain how long til they'll be back after this trip, it's our best shot."

She knew did she? Strange. Somehow he didn't see that sentiment coming from her. Ever. Then again, it did sort of explain a few things.

As did that last statement of hers. The one that knocked his pride back a few more pegs. Who knew, maybe it needed it. He'd figure that out later, after he got over the bruising from it. He even took to rubbing at his shoulder, as if she had physically knocked him.

"Gosh Lex....."

And then there was that. That being that woman that strode into their conversation as if she was the producer, director and manager of the stage play of their lives. Rhydian's attention turned round, and before he even really knew what that was, there was a right bit of dribble coming from his mouth. "Bit of an obvio--oh."

Oh that was. That was. Rhydian took from rubbing his shoulder to tapping his brain. Who was that? He'd seen her about. Someone important. Status....Lex's red face....talk about it .......

Z.O.M.G.

Seriously. Seriously?! Talk about Murphy's Law! Merlin!

Rhydian was pretty sure that his own face turned a shade or two closer to Lex's. "Oh hiyo boss."

Yup. That was her. He remembered now. Conversation later, yes. Most definitely. And oh wasn't that brilliant? More people too? Seriously, where did they all come from? Maybe this was Lex's way of getting him to drop the matter entirely, though judging by her expression that was hardly the case. Unanticipated and unwanted. Well, no sense in making a scene.

So, given he was already sitting, he remained sitting. Quite comfortably too. Physically that was. Mentally was another story. Stretching his legs out, and hooking one foot over the other he tried to shift his attention to work. Truth was, all he really heard was furry Russian elves.

And once the egg was wiped from their face, so to speak, it seemed the YATI had some redeeming qualities, or at least... Cambridge did, Blackhold was yet to prove himself useful in her eyes... the memory of the man standing on his chair and twirling came to mind. Circe.

Cambridge's assessment of the situation in the Alley earned a singular approving nod. A job well done. "So we act," she confirmed. After going over the files Rainey left behind there was no doubt that action needed to be taken, and the opportune moment was fast approaching. "We'll work for the fifteenth, but keep communications open in case their plans change, in the meantime, put together the taskforce for the bust and utilise the hit wizards to make up numbers should we need to." She paused here before continuing. "We need evidence of the transaction before we make the sweep, but we also need to contain the situation... I don't want to hear we've let anybody slip through the cracks."

But more to the point, the inventory... "How great should we expect the shipment to be?"

And by all means, meetings were meant for collaboration, so the other parties were welcome to raise their own questions.
