Default Meridian Courtyard
Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight

Had he... gotten away with it? Yes? The answer seemed to be 'yes', but Daxton kept moving quickly away from the gift shop, knowing better than to linger anywhere near there for too long. He wanted to find somewhere to sit and play a game with his new illicit deck of playing cards, but that was perhaps also an unwise decision, so he kept moving.

After a few minutes of walking, Daxton found himself back near the very location where all the Hogwarts students had gone their separate ways. This time, instead of heading away from the Meridian Courtyard, he continued on into it.

There was sure to be nothing here that was anything near as interesting as the gallery, or looking through the telescope at the Dome (which he had not even managed to do), or the Flamsteed House (which he had only passed and decided not to enter, on account of how busy it had looked), but Daxton thought he might like to find the meridian line. He did not have a watch, but there was likely little time to do much else by this point.

Still as barefoot as he invariably was - he had managed to go the entire day sans shoes, and was not regretting having even brought them along, as they had been more of a hindrance than anything else - Daxton approached the meridian line, and then stood by it, staring. It did not look like anything special, and he supposed in the grand scheme of things it was not very special at all. He could not quite decide his own opinion of it.

For a long moment, he simply stood looking at the line, considering it, and then at last he stepped forward and sat himself on the floor, directly on the line. Longitude: 0º.

Of course, now he was sitting down, and with little else to do, the temptation to get out the stolen cards was strong. After thinking for a moment, Daxton did decide to wrestle something out of his pocket, but when he withdrew his hand, he only brought out the map of the Royal Observatory, and proceeded to look over it with a critical eye as he by now had realised that it had not been to scale at all. This was a very important matter.
