Blaise almost rolled his eyes. There went Four Eyes doing that Ravenclaw thing again. What happened to just answering questions without asking why? "Because fun is a neutral topic we can't possibly start arguing about. You want this to go well, don't you?" If not, he could just say. They could go right back to fighting whenever he was ready. "Now then." Ahem. "I like exploring too and reading." Studying....not so much. "I like surfing with my cousin too on vacations." "How did you get on academic probation, though?" he asked lightly, deliberately keeping his tone curious and neutral. "I mean, if you want a study buddy, I could help you. I'm one of the top students for Ravenclaw." So far, that is. Who knew if he'd be able to keep up with the high standards he set for himself.

Yeah yeah, sure, luck would be on his side. Davie just shrugged at Blaise, not wanting to push it and anger his bully already. He'd probably feel the other boy's wrath if they didn't find the book out there so... that was something to worry about tomorrow. Not today.

"Okay." Fun, right. Blaise liked two of the things he did so that would be easy to remember. And surfing was an unusual hobby, so he wouldn't forget that. Ummm... a question. Right. "What's your favorite place in this castle?"
