Oh wait, she was sitting and....what was this now? They were going to talk? Rhydian hesitated for a brief moment. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk. It was all he had wanted to do for the past few weeks. It was just strange that now it was time, and more than that she was asking for him to take a seat while doing it.
Still, he found his legs obeying before he even gave them command to. And momentarily, he was sitting beside her. And still side eyeing. Erupment. Right. That.
He let out a slow breath. "Fair enough." Though, what to say about the erupment? That was the tricky part. That he was sorry? 'Cept, he wasn't. Not by a long shot. Just, sorry that it had happened the way it did. Then again, he had done enough talking for the both of them that day, and by the look on her face he was guessing that there was something she wanted to say. Or maybe he was just hoping. Either way, he decided she should have the floor first.
"I...don't know where to begin. Do...you?"
If he preferred to remain standing, she wasn't going to make a big deal about it, really she wasn't. Just...the neck strain, y'know? Plus the angle might have made the conversation awkward--more awkward than it already had the potential to be. Naturally she was pleased with the fact he'd opted for the seat next to her so they could be at a better level. Shoulder to shoulder and everything. That was the first step. After avoiding him for so long, she was finally sitting down with him and they could......talk. Someone remind her why she was listening to Lottie again? Sitting here, this suddenly didn't seem like such a good idea anymore and the former Gryffindor had to fight the urge to get up and
bolt leave.
Unfortunately, as was the case when she'd gone for a drink with Abbi, she was again going to have to go first. You think she'd be used to this by now but apparently context made all the difference.
"I...think I do." Lex was sure to shift so she could proper look him in the eyes.
"You do know I wasn't trying to hurt you, right?"
Someone tell her that much was obvious
at least. Circe.
