Sure, he'd thought about it more than he should have in the past few weeks. Worked on what he would say, how he would act and all the rest. Being in the moment however? Didn't really work like that. In fact, it was about the exact opposite. His brain went a bit fuzzy, there was some sort of prickly sensation drawing up his arms and his gut did all sorts of flips and twists. His mouth? Dry. It took a few seconds to work his tongue around before he found enough courage to speak.
"...You know, it's amazing that all wizards and witches aren't fat slobs with how lazy our wands allow us to be." Brilliant. Bloody brilliant. Knob.
Turning slightly, Rhydian considered Lex from the corners of his eyes. He couldn't help but stare a little, but not in a bad way. It just felt like an age since he had seen her. "You're looking good, though." As in not fat or slobbish. Maybe even a bit skinnier. Hard to tell from this visual angle.
...
......
He just called her lazy....she was almost sure he did--alluded to her being a slob too, right before he went and...oh Merlin, no. This wasn't going to be a thing. Not if she could help it. This...this....small talk business; Lex had never been one to waste her time on it and she wouldn't start now.
"Right..." She said with a small nod, eyeing him in much the same way he was eyeing her.
"...We're not doing that." Small talk; no. She refused to believe things had gotten that bad between them both in what she thought was a short space of time which admittedly blew by so quickly that she didn't know where it went. Everything was a daze, one in which she couldn't remember half the things that happened.
With a sigh--because something told her she'd regret this--Alexa lowered the documents once more then took a seat in the corner.
"Sit with me?" She patted the floor next to her, inviting him to have a seat if he wanted it.
"I'd rather we discuss the erumpent in the room than my weight and hygienic practices." A poorly injected shot of humour that came with a small smile but there it was.
