Well ... yes and no. But he wanted to know specific details, how long it was doing to take if he started now, how much private instruction he could get if she was cool doing that, and so on.

"I just know that learning how to become an Animagus can be a long process, and it involves a lot of patience and understanding complex theory and stuff." Beyond that the blond honestly didn't know that much. He hadn't gotten around to getting a Ravenclaw to go to the library for him...

"But earlier this term in Potions we brewed Mutatio Animalia," he added quickly before she thought he didn't know what he was getting himself into. "So I have some experience with not being in human form." Mind you, he wasn't very impressed with having to be a rat for those few hours.
