Chloe folded her letter and shoved it in her pocket, embarrassed. She folded her arms across her chest and huffed, "Why can't clothes be serious?" Sure, her letter wasn't mostly about clothes, it had just been the last thing she had written, but clothes could be serious too. They were a form of expression and culture, duh.

This kid, whose name she didn't know by the way, was digging himself in a deeper and deeper hole. She wasn't sure if he was being serious with that question or if he was making fun of her. Either way it made her stare at him. Long and confused.

"Uh..." She didn't know where to begin, "There's loads wrong with the planet." Her Daddy was an environmentalist because of all of the bad things that were happening on Earth. "Haven't you heard of the ozone layer?" She had surely heard of it. That didn't mean she knew what it meant but it always sounded serious and she at least had heard of it.

Oh! Yes. She did. Chloe tilted her head to try and look in his bag, "What do you have?"
