Same went for Maggie. Only they weren't best friends. Really they hadn't even become much more then house mates until this year. Though Hady prided herself in caring about what others wanted or needed more then herself. Therefore if her fellow snake was happy then she so was she.
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" She smirked at Maggie then laughed. "Relax. If you two are happy then I'm happy for you both. Just don't hurt him in anyway." Sorry Maggie. He was 'her' lion first and she would always protect him even if it was from a distance and in silence. Not that Zeke couldn't handle himself! Hady knew he could but there was nothing wrong with her having his back like always. Honestly, Maggie just didn't want to constantly fight Hady. She knew what Slytherin girls were capable of and while she was pretty sure she could fend for herself, Maggie just really didn't want to have to look over her shoulder all the time. If push came to shove she wasn't sure if that was...worth it. It would lead to a whole lot of thinking this over on her part anyway.
The preferred outcome therefore was for Hady to at least say that she didn't mind.
So when the other girl smirked and even laughed, Maggie looked visibly relieved. As long as they were happy Hady was happy? Well then, Zeke had definitely seemed happy yesterday. As for herself, she was excited too.
Smirking a little, Maggie folded her scarf in her lap carefully. "That's the idea right? Not hurting each other." She looked back up to meet Hady's gaze, genuinely smiling now. That's what it was it was all about no? Seeing as this was a different kind of dating now. Not what she'd planned on doing in school. This was different. So now she didn't really know WHAT exactly it all meant. She needed a new list. A new plan.
But not making each other miserable was probably a good start. |
