He returned the greetings with a nod of his head or some sort of salute-wave, as he leaned against the wall. Brown got a curious look for all her pointing and finger wiggling, but the smile stayed in place. Kids. Kids on a field trip. Would be interesting. Very interesting. Hopefully Flamsteed knew exactly what he was doing.
As the lesson got underway, Sabel worked at lenghtening the fanny pack strap. It took a few adjustments and tries, but by the time the portkeys were being handed out he'd found the right length. The bag was strapped across his back, with the strap coming diagonally across his chest from shoulder to hip and then back up again. It was like a glaringly bright mini pack, which went perfectly with his absolutely adorable and squishy portkey. "Don't suppose I can give this to my daughter when we're done?" Probably not. Portkeys and all, but really, who ever made a portkey out of something soooo cute!
Ahem. Serious, mean fighting machine defense professor over here. And he put on the face for it too as students started coming around and choosing keys.
Lynch was the first to join, and the first to break the rather serious expression off his face. He just couldn't keep it there, especially not when he was actually worried he might scare the Snake off. "Well chosen Miss Lynch."
If he didn't say so himself. "Always go for the s'more." Even if it was a cushioned, smiling s'more.
And look! There was the other Browne.
The kid got a nod and a grin. "Mr. Browne. Shuffle on in." And well, because he had one student at each side and they were about the right height, Sabel propped his elbows on Browne's and Lynch's heads, both of his hands on the portkey.
As Sabel watched the students go to respective portkeys, he noticed a certain one hanging back. No real big surprise there. Forgetting momentarily that he had his elbows atop two students heads, Sabel caught Prince's eyes and nodded at the empty standing spots around his portkey. "Plenty of room still, Mr. Prince."
Oh, and there was another one joining their circle? Good good! "Miss Wojack-Gusey. Good pick." She got a return grin from him. He was slightly surprised she didn't go for the big sunglasses, but hey. S'mores. "Now, in case you get a bit nauseous, it seems that the bum-baggies have been kindly supplied as a sick bag. Mind throwing pastries all over one another's hands and feet please. And most importantly, hang on tight. And laugh." Seriously though, laughing helped. Quote:

He clutched Pebbles a little more tightly under his arm. It was her first time traveling by portkey and would obviously be a little scared. Not to mention that there was quite the risk of her wiggling free from his grasp before they reached their destination. But the choice was leaving her behind or taking that risk and Hogwarts had NOT been kind to her when left on her own, so there really was no choice. "3...2...1..." SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH OOC: off we go! Please DO declone here first before posting in the new thread Quote:

Hady's gripped tightened slightly around the plushie as the countdown began. She was more then ready to go. There would be no getting sick from her either. The moment they were off she actually laughed this time as recommended when she felt that pull in her stomach taking her away to their destination. He hadn't missed Hady's grin, and so he returned it briefly before they got settled. Sabel's elbow on his head was NOT appreciated, and he had half a mind to tell the man to sod off... only, he knew that would come back to bite him in the butt, so he refrained from doing so, instead he prepared himself for the journey, getting in on the whole s'more action.
Travelling by portkey was second nature to him now, so he wasn't at all concerned with the usefulness of his bum bag, nor the laughing technique. He was confident in his ability not to throw up, pass out, or otherwise lose his balance and collapse in front of others. He had this.
So when the countdown began, and he closed his eyes, Zeke anticipated and welcomed the pulling sensation.... they were off.
