Hogwarts RPG Name:
Amur Neverwinter
Fourth Year

~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~

Oh. That wasn't how one wore it? Sabel's smile turned into a bit of a smirk as he unhooked the bag from around his fingers and moved to stand off at the side of the classroom.

He returned the greetings with a nod of his head or some sort of salute-wave, as he leaned against the wall. Brown got a curious look for all her pointing and finger wiggling, but the smile stayed in place. Kids. Kids on a field trip. Would be interesting. Very interesting. Hopefully Flamsteed knew exactly what he was doing.

As the lesson got underway, Sabel worked at lenghtening the fanny pack strap. It took a few adjustments and tries, but by the time the portkeys were being handed out he'd found the right length. The bag was strapped across his back, with the strap coming diagonally across his chest from shoulder to hip and then back up again. It was like a glaringly bright mini pack, which went perfectly with his absolutely adorable and squishy portkey.

"Don't suppose I can give this to my daughter when we're done?" Probably not. Portkeys and all, but really, who ever made a portkey out of something soooo cute!

Ahem. Serious, mean fighting machine defense professor over here. And he put on the face for it too as students started coming around and choosing keys.

SPOILER!!: Hady!

When it was time to get moving and portkeys were being given out she was ready. The choice whom to go with when it was time was simple. Whomever was closest to her. The fourth year got to her feet, her bum bag already strapped around her waist and hidden by her jean jacket. Walking over towards Professor Dakest she gave him a small grin as her hand reached out and closed around the portkey of the plush smore.

She was more then ready to get going, just not so ready for the portkey experience. It always made her head spin. Not a pleasant feeling.

Lynch was the first to join, and the first to break the rather serious expression off his face. He just couldn't keep it there, especially not when he was actually worried he might scare the Snake off. "Well chosen Miss Lynch."

If he didn't say so himself. "Always go for the s'more." Even if it was a cushioned, smiling s'more.

SPOILER!!: Zeke!

So when the time came to form groups to portkey to their location, Zeke didn't waste any time deciding who to travel with. Flamsteed was out of the question, things have been weird on that front, and speaking of weird... Mr PlantsPantsMan wasn't someone he wanted to rub shoulders with either. Zander and Sophie were alright, but no, his choice was clear.

Sabel, we choose you.

Bum bag clipped and zipped up, Zeke pulled it onto his arm and had it sit snuggly under his armpit. He wasn't ready to wear it properly just yet. Perhaps later when things called for practicality. Perhaps. But for now he would just slip in with Sabel's group.

Hi.

And look! There was the other Browne.

The kid got a nod and a grin. "Mr. Browne. Shuffle on in." And well, because he had one student at each side and they were about the right height, Sabel propped his elbows on Browne's and Lynch's heads, both of his hands on the portkey.

SPOILER!!: Daxton

They were fascinating, and he had been interested to experience that particular mode of transport, but now that Airey Flamsteed had handed the portkey items out, Daxton hesitated. Five portkeys, a room full of people, each having to touch one of them, huddled around them, brushing their shoulders up against each other, everyone so close to each other...

The Ravenclaw looped the strap of his bum bag over his head and shoulder, so it was strapped across his chest with the bag part down by his hip, and kept his shoes tucked under his arm. He immediately discounted the options of travelling with the Head Girl, or the Head Baby, and after a moment's consideration, he decided against Myers as well, on account of the time the man had grabbed him by the shoulders. Too risky. He lingered between Dakest and Airey Flamsteed, looking uncertainly between the two portkeys and trying to make his decision based on the nature of the items and just how full the groups around the portkeys were.

Too close. He would have to be too close to people, hear and feel their breathing and touch shoulders with them and just be too close. Was it worth it? He dithered a few moments longer, looking back and forth and back and forth, torn between a yearning to visit the Royal Observatory and the self-preservation of not wanting to be near anyone. What did he do? What did he do?

As Sabel watched the students go to respective portkeys, he noticed a certain one hanging back. No real big surprise there. Forgetting momentarily that he had his elbows atop two students heads, Sabel caught Prince's eyes and nodded at the empty standing spots around his portkey.

"Plenty of room still, Mr. Prince."

SPOILER!!: Dot!

She wanted Sophie, but all the baby ickles were crowding Sophie, so Dot sauntered to Professor Dakest instead. Super cool fifth year here, not at all bothered by the dumb bad or by the fact that they were going on a field trip with NO magic allowed. That was sort of harrowing. What if her life was in danger?

"Hi, Professor," she spoke quietly and offered him a thin smile before reaching for the portkey.

Oh, and there was another one joining their circle? Good good!

"Miss Wojack-Gusey. Good pick." She got a return grin from him. He was slightly surprised she didn't go for the big sunglasses, but hey. S'mores.

"Now, in case you get a bit nauseous, it seems that the bum-baggies have been kindly supplied as a sick bag. Mind throwing pastries all over one another's hands and feet please. And most importantly, hang on tight. And laugh." Seriously though, laughing helped.
