It was just in his blood not dislike anyone. Or just maybe one person. Heh.

"It's never too early to think about stuff involving your career,'' said the happy Hufflepuff, bouncing away on his feet. Wait. Whut? Brooklyn was asking his advice? That was surprising enough to having him stop in mid bounce. He spared her a look for a second or two before resuming the bouncing. "Of course you should do something you're really strong at. You'll enjoy your career that way and you'll excel at it. Which subjects are you good at? Those are the ones you should continue with.''

She hadn’t expected him to get much out of her comment, but then Brooklyn generally didn’t expect much out of Adi. She didn’t expect much out of Hufflepuffs in general, really, but him specifically. As long as he kept his distance, she’d entertain the possibility that she might tolerate him at some point. But then, she didn’t expect him to do that either, and she slid to the side and a bit further away from him just to make sure. She couldn’t go too far, since they were on a balcony after all, but it was far enough to hopefully keep her personal bubble intact. Although she nodded slightly as he’d spoken, still wary of exactly how cheery he was so early in the morning.

Maybe Hufflepuffs took something to be so happy. It was as good a hypothesis as any. People couldn’t naturally be that cheerful. And she didn’t really agree with his theory that it was never too early. She believed the opposite, really. There was always too early, and this was definitely too early. She hadn’t expected his bouncing to stop, however, and she’d glanced at him in surprise before he’d started up again and she returned her attention to the view. “Potions,” she said simply. She was good at that subject, but she still didn’t necessarily feel like she wanted to go into that. She’d much rather just not have to worry either way, but there was also her ballet or violin to fall back on too.
