Oh boy, family talk. His and his brother's favorite thing to not talk about it. Since there was not much to talk about. They were not around too much and liked Dante better.

Yes, it HAD in fact gotten in the way. So much so that Maggie had literally stopped halfway through and had decided they meet up somewhere to talk this through. Or well, she hadn't had a PLAN or anything but it had seemed to have worked out. Mhm. At least she felt like things were good between the two of them again.

And Dante had probably gotten more out of this meeting than he'd expected, too.

Taking his arm, Maggie started walking again. Wait...his family wouldn't CARE? Seriously? ~~Was he one of those unloved children??~~ Instead of saying anything she just nodded, though. There was really nothing she could say on that matter. To be honest, she didn't really know his family that well. "Right." And before she could stop herself she added, "Maybe you should come to mine next year." She did have a whole year to plan this so it should be fine.

Hugo. Right. Boo.

Maggie wrinkled her nose a little when he mentioned his friend. "Yeah, I know. I'm sure the two of you will have LOOOTS of fun." Her voice was dripping with sarcasm, could he tell?
