"How come you're bored if you have magic? If I could use magic I don't suspect I'd ever be bored." It was true to some extent. If his wand ever decided to work he would be sure to keep himself entertained but it never did and he didn't feel much like trying anymore.

"Bet'cha you could make the statue move like Professor York taught you guys that first lesson. There's no telling what you could get her to do after that." Mostly because he didn't actually know how the spell worked. All he knew was that there was a chance it moved and did what you want and that was pretty cool in itself.

"Think of the epic story I'd get out of it."
