Now that they had a tree, they could all add the things they liked and it would be the BEST TREE EVER because THEY were the BEST TEAM EVER.
Heh. "Let's do it!" he exclaimed energetically, and brought out his wand as he still deliberately stood between Sophie and Zander. Hehehehe. With Norah between them from the other way around, it was impossible for them to hold hands right now. He was so clever! "So, tinsel we sa -" NEVER MIND, Sophie and Zander had letters! "What do they say?" The way he looked, he was clearly ready to snatch the letters if they didn't tell him; because they were all past the 'privacy' stages of their relationship. OH YEAH. TOTALLY on board with the tinsel thing. Well, Zander didn't seem too excited about all the glittery-ness that was going to happen, but she'd already deemed him a hopeless case on that front, so it still counted. With a big grin, Norah picked up a pile of tinsel and held it in their direction. "C'mon c'mon c'mon. Let's GO!" The tree weren't just gonna decorate itself, y'know. She looked expectantly at all three of them, elevated slightly onto the toes of her bunny slippers just in case they weren't taking her seriously yet.
A moment later, though, all the tinsel was dropped on Zander's feet (they could use some sparkle, okay?) on account of something EVEN MORE exciting coming along. She turned quickly to pick up the letter, opening the envelope with a wonderful ripping noise which she never usually let herself make because ripping paper was just mean. Those had been trees too, at one point. Professor Culloden was far too interested in Sophie and Zander's letters, so she leaned over her own aaaaaaall secretively even though it barely said anything at all. That'd show him. She was interesting TOO. Even if she couldn't tell who'd written the letter. Norah read the letter through nearly three times before losing interest and letting her eyes wander to one of the big christmas trees overhead. Was that MISTLETOE? She took an instinctive step away from it, so she was in front of Culloden now. Um. Alert? ALERT? There was a tradition that need to be fulfilled here and there was a 0% chance that she was going to be the one fulfilling it in this case. Nope. Nuh uh. That was Zander and Sophie's job, at least today. The only problem was Culloden was standing in such a bad place that it was almost like he'd done it on purpose.
She looked from the 'head couple' to Culloden and to the mistletoe before coming to a decision and stepping forward so she and the Professor were right next to each other. Distraction time. Oh yeah. Before he could move, she gave her hand a big smooch and reached up to plant her palm right on Culloden's nose. "Happy Christmas!" Norah wasn't entirely sure if it was to distract him enough for Zander and Sophie to do what they had to do, or because she was afraid he'd curse her ears into turnips, but a second later she was running to the other side of their tree. "Don't ya want to see what's in MY letter? It's got all the best secrets in there." She poked her head out from behind the branches and gave him a big smile. Innocent. Tooooooootally innocent.
