#1 ½ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ½ Team House Elf The second he read the challenge, he was engaged. In fact, he was so engaged that he could not simply turn away. While it would have been in his best interest to remove himself from the room and to contemplate the challenge and how he might complete it over a slice of cake or a cup of hot chocolate, he simply could not back down. So without hesitation, Zeke crossed the threshold into the room and surrendered his wand. He seldom surrendered his wand... detention was the last exception to that rule, but if this is what had to be done, then so be it.
For a moment, Zeke observed his surroundings, first the pit and the problem it posed in getting to the other side of the alley, and secondly the walls and balconies extending upward. He would have to scale those too... somehow, to get to the roof. Though there were doors and stairs, he doubted very much that he could simply get up one, and move across through the buildings via doors and overpasses. Buildings. Faux buildings, no? Were they illusions? Or were they real structures that were built into the space? They were solid, so perhaps the latter. At any rate, it wasn't something he needed to question, he just needed to do this.
The first thing he did, was take a pace down the crumbling sidewalk to the open door. Peering inside, he considered the staircase... how far up did it go? Were there exit points up top? Or should he consider another avenue? Catching a glimpse of the rope out of the corner of his eye, Zeke bent down to claim it, hoisting it over his shoulder and around his arm, keeping it in a form that resembled a loose coil. He hoped it might come in handy.
Deciding to test the staircase first, Zeke entered through the door, and gingerly, one step at a time, attempted the climb.
