See how it was still taking notes so diligently only a couple paces from them? It probably had a shoddy account of what happened but who CARED??? Blaise was so caught up in making sure the Professor didn't at any point start taking Davie's side that at first he didn't remember the other boy was meant to get off his quill but when he did and the Gryffindor finally SAW the damage, the heart that WAS breaking completely snapped in two. With a clearly stricken expression, the boy reached down and plucked the quill from ground zero. The 11 year old gave a little sob as he handed the quill over. Keeping it together was hard work, okay??
