Background - Delilah comes from Central London, Chelsea where she was born and raised by her birth parents: Madeleine and Jonathon, they are a wealthy pureblood family, not swimming in money but they can easily get by, Delilah is the youngest of 3 with 2 older brothers of 16 and 17 both attending Durmstrang. Delilah had an easy upbringing, attending muggle primary school: Our Lady of Victories RC school, an all girls school which has led to her being very nervous around boys, especially those of a similar age. She's a bright girl, not top of the class but her grades were always good and she was always described as a pleasure to teach. Arguments are not accustom to the way of life in the Mosley household, they're a close family who enjoy old fashion activities such as board games and singing around the grand piano. Delilah and her family are also in close contact with their extended family, living just down the road from her grandma and grandpa who she loves very dearly- it is not unusual for her to visit her grandma everyday after school for a cup of tea and a scone (very British). The 11 year old has a tight knit relationship with her brothers, but they are the only boys she believes to be cootie-free and unlike other siblings they rarely fight due to the boys being away at school most of the year round. Delilah has grown up around the use of magic, never actually performing any spells as she has yet to learn any, but she has witnessed spells used by both her parents and her brothers as well as the extended family, she often travels by floo powder and dislikes travelling by portkey. Her best friend is a small teddy bear called snuffles, he's a tatty bear and of course cant actually make conversation but with acquaintances Lilah is very shy and can often talk in a very mouse like voice. She's rather a sheep-like girl, not in appearance of course but in persona, she often follows people; especially older people, looking for guidance and someone to comfort her. The thought of going to Hogwarts scares her greatly as she is used to being molly coddled by pregnant mother and loving father, she is their little princess and they truly treat her like royalty. To be away from home is going to be a daunting task, one both mother and Lilah are dreading. Its shocking she’s been sorted into Slytherin house due to her quiet nature, but could this be a hidden slyness ? maybe Hogwarts will bring out a devious side to this adorable little first year, or maybe the other students will corrupt her!

Delilah's parents met during a tri-wiz tournament held at Hogwarts 16 years ago in 2070, Madeleine was 16 and Jonathon was 17. Neither of them took part in the tri-wiz tournament but both joined together to cheer on the champions, it was during a Ravenclaw group activity making banners in the common room that they first were formally introduced, they had crossed paths before but it wasn't til they were joined in activity that the two got talking. This introduction revealed both of them had a lot in common so they began to frequently spend time together, becoming very close friends. It wasn't until they left Hogwarts that they began to date; in fact some might call it fate. Both students graduated from Hogwarts and lost touch as Jonathon went to work with his father in the Ministry of Magic whilst Madeleine studied to become a potions teacher at a university in Scotland. Just 2 years after qualifying in 2076 Madeleine left Beauxbatons and went to work for the ministry of magic herself, as if by magic or some might say coincidence the two met up again and the circuit was reconnected. A year later the two started dating and they were smitten for quite sometime before getting married aged 23. Another hurried surprise was the birth of their first son just 2 years after their marriage, at 25 Madeleine gave birth to a gorgeous 7 lb 4 baby boy, Dominic Antony. The couple were natural born parents and adjusted as if it were the easiest job in the world. This natural born love caused them to have another child just 11 months later, Oliver Jacob. The couple lived in a small apartment neighboring the park. A long 5 years later Madeleine fell pregnant again and the family decided to relocate to a small cottage in the country, the type of cottage you would see in a fairy tale. It was a tudor cottage, decorated in a very old fashioned but stylish manor, and it suited the Mosely family perfectly. Lilah had a great upbringing, her mother taught her to play piano from the age of 6 and she often engaged in outdoor activities with her brother both before and during her time at school, she was a focused studier even from a young age. Always interested in books and what not, a brilliant artist to say the least, she got these skills from her mother who although specialized in teaching potions was quite the master of the arts. Her and Lilah had a special room in the back of the cottage with a small easel for Lilah and a taller one for her mother where they could paint to their hearts content- it almost sounds too good to be true. Lilah’s life was much like the perfect portrait, she is rather the perfectionist, helping her mother with the cooking and cleaning when she felt like it, she is sure to be missed when she goes away to Hogwarts.
