Sophie tugged at the Santa hat that was sitting atop her messy blonde hair. She was trying to find an empty spot to sit at. Everyone it seemed, was sitting with their friends. She felt a pang of loneliness as she watched many students receiving Secret Santa letters, most likely from crushes or friends. Neither which she had. It was very nearly Christmas time, and she was spending it alone in the Castle as her parents were traveling for their holiday. There was nobody to decorate holiday cookies with and no-one to exchange gifts with. With a small sigh, she plopped down in a seat, unaware of who she had sat by.

Looking among the spread of food and drink, she reach for a pumpkin juice and grabbed a bit to eat. Her plate had a bit of this and that. Sophie picked at her food as she watched all the commotion around her. That was her problem, she badly wanted to join in on conversation but she wasn't good at getting people to actually notice her. Plus she felt terribly rude, what if she was interrupting someones very important conversation?
