Maggie was still eying things. And PEOPLE. Especially people. Like. What was going on there? She was VERY suspicious. Which only proved that apparently she didn't really trust Kaycee as much as she wanted to. Not that she'd ever say that out loud.

Had she betrayed her????

But also, did he FOR REAL just give the head girl ALL THE FLOWERS? Charlotte peeeeeered at him for a moment, and then the realization hit.

ROONEY WAS IN LUUUURVE.

.... that was HILARIOUS.

Giggles commenced.
Just FYI, Maggie's compliment to Rooney had been genuine.

Girls DID like flowers so he'd done good.

Girls also apparently liked tumbleweed and archenemies. What? Or at least that first year did. Charlotte was it? Maggie gave her a confused look, not really sure what to make of that. How on earth did tumbleweed help you find an archenemy? Maggie sort of got why HAVING an archenemy was somewhat appealing.

But tumbleweed? What?

Walking in, Noel took a seat next to Benzi and greeted the professor. "Hello professor" And oh yes the compliment thing, Noel looked around and saw Maggie. Passing a smile her way, he announced: "Maggie Traulton is quiet epic" There.
Her eyes fell on Noel as he walked in.

His smile made her smile too, despite everything and his compliment did cheer her up somewhat. She WAS quite epic, wasn't she? Good to know he agreed.

Now where was his girlfriend to hear him say that?

HA.

Her compliment...Merlin…”While I agree, I think girls enjoy more than just flowers.” Not that Paul was any sort of expert….on women.Pffft.
Had Professor Myers just disagreed with her? Publicly?

Maggie frowned at him openly before realizing that it was probably NOT wise to do that to a professor. Nope, she did NOT want to get in trouble again so she just shrugged. She hadn't said that flowers were the ONLY thing that girls enjoyed after all.

But Rooney definitely had the right idea there.

"You've touched my soul and things," he stated with mock-seriousness, a smile lifting the corners of his lips as he held out the flower he was holding to her. Hey there.
...speaking of flowers.

Maggie, still somewhat confused and taken aback by THINGS, looked up at Zeke when he addressed her. "...your soul and things?" She repeated with a small amused smirk as she took the flower from him. Silly, he was being silly. But it was definitely a welcome distraction. So he got a small curtsy from her.

Thank you, Zeke.

“-You will see that these are some of the things we deem important to grow plants healthily. Very goooooood everyone! That was a bit basic, I know--but I thought it was an important starting point for where we are GOING--” He gestured at the table behind him, the one with all the smelly bins.

“Now, some of you mentioned nutrients--which is VERY important for plants, yes. All plants need a certain combination of them…” He thought about how to explain this. “How...some animals eat meat? And others only vegetation? Well plants are the same--but with nutrients. Sort of.” He hoped that made sense. “All plants need two main things--” he may have been simplifying it, slightly, for the sake of the lesson, but if ANYONE wanted to come talk seriously about the nutrient and vitamin intake of shrubs---by all means, Paul would find it endearing. “Carbon and nitrogen...are important. But different plants need carbon--and others need a LOT of nitrogen--” were they taking notes? They should be taking notes.

“SOOOOO---as you can SEE--” he pointed at the bins. “We will be……...COMPOSTING TODAY. All NATURAL compost! Which I LOVE--” he hopped a little in excitement. “Now--without looking in the bins---let’s THINK--what sort of materials can we use for composting? I’d like everyone to try to come up with something different, please!”

"Also---someone tell me--what is the difference between compost and fertilizer?"
OOC: There are SO many different things that can be composted-----so please try to keep the answers diverse! I will be moving on in....eh, 13-16 hours from now. <3

After the meditation circle (during which Maggie hadn't QUITE been able to get rid of all of her negative thoughts) Maggie missed out on the first question. Like, people had already said all the things she knew about plants. Air, water, sunlight. What else was there really? So instead of raising her hand she'd started doodling on her parchment a little. Totally paying attention and stuff.

Would Myers notice if she wrote Kaycee a note and levitated over to her?

She was tempted to try.

Giving that one boy who'd suggested 'human' (Oliver) a long stare, Maggie eventually raised her hand to contribute. "Straw?" Or something like that. The smell coming from those bins was REALLY bad. And she'd thought she might be immune to bad smells after that detention. Apparently not. She wrinkled her nose and even reached up to rub it with her hand.

Ew.
