An audible sob escaped her lips as she looked at him. She clutched her chest, it felt as though she would stop breathing. "W-why?" Her sobbing started to intensify and she had no hope of hiding the fact that she had begun crying hysterically. "W-why n-no-t ?" She didn't understand. Was there someone else she didn't know about? Had she done him wrong in some way she didn't know. "D-did I.....do...something *sob* wrong?" She could barely see him through the flood of tears escaping her bright blue eyes. She held herself and cried bitterly , sobbing loudly enough that it echoed on the bridge and she began shaking. She was having her worst fears come true right before her eyes and she didn't know how to handle it. It was why she held herself back for so long, why she was so scared......and now she was a hysterical fool. She felt that he cared for her too......how could she feel the lie to be true? "Why?...."

Henric felt so terrible...so terrible...he wanted to beat himself up for making her cry like this. It pained him deeply to hear her tearful words. He shook his head profusely at her when she asked him in the most heart-wrenching voice whether she had done something wrong to him. ”No...you have done nothing wrong, llia...don’t think like that...please, don’t cry...” He pleaded, his own voice straining to find composure. He wanted to reach out, wipe her tear-stained cheeks and pull her close to him again. It took all of his will power not to.

He was torn from doing what he thought was right and what his heart wanted him to do. He had so much to say to her, about all of his growing feelings for her, how much his heart palpitates whenever she stands near him, calls his name or holds his hand. The countless of times he sneaked a glance at her when she wasn’t looking, even the way she smiled, teased and laughed. Her sheer stubbornness and fiery temper which had become somewhat attractive to him too. It scared him honestly that he had fallen in too deep. His best friend whom he had shared his past, his present and his future goals with and had just declared her love to him but what did he do? He trampled her heart because he kept telling himself llia was better off with someone her family had planned for her.

The thought of her being with some other rancid bloke made his blood boil and left him seething inside, but Henric set his jaw firm. His face void from any expression, ”llia...look at me...I don't belong in your world...I don't belong anywhere for that matter. I'm nobody..."just a pathetic poor unfortunate orphan muggleboy"...quoted by your great ancestors. llia, I can't do this...I'm leaving for the Christmas break tomorrow...I-I have to g-go..."he told her sadly and turned his back on her. He couldn't take seeing her cry anymore...Henric had said only parts of the truth of why he couldn't date her.
