And that's what you call a landing. Merlin. Poor owl was all over the place. Also the plates. Those were all over the place too, thanks. The letters couldn't have been that heavy... Could they?

He eyed the owl for a moment before taking the gooey letter from the birds beak. "Er thanks," owls didn't speak english, genius. Lol. So he attempted to give the owl a nice pet before turning to his soggy letter. Ew. Hogwarts needed to get a different system. Or different owls. But anyways, the letter.

He opened it slowly, pausing to stare at the handwriting. Why couldn't he tell who wrote it? But whoever did write it... They had to be a friend right? They called him a "MATE" that had to mean something. And the letter itself was real nice and stuff... But WHO wrote it??? That was all Zander could think about. Where was that owl? Zander wanted to bribe him into saying, 'cause this would bother Zander forever.

Oh. He supposed that was a good reason to have to stay behind at Hogwarts. Even though Hady was probably looking forward to going home over the holidays... There was always a chance for that next year though. Plus nothing was going terribly wrong this year so might as well enjoy the Hufflepuff plot while it lasted. Merlin forbid the acromantulas showed up for an epic battle part 2. Ahem. "Are you moving far from where you used to live, then?" He was curious. Zander hadn't ever moved before... Always in the same house for as long as he could remember... But moving sounded like fun.

"Especially the food," Zander marveled. Holiday food was definitely the best. Especially because it combined all the good things Zander ever wanted in food. Warmth, sugar, quality, pumpkin, PIES, and man it was just the best. Zander would eat holiday food all the days if he could. But anyways, he was glad to see that Benny was doing alright. Didn't want to admit it out loud or anything, but Zander had been worried... Especially after what he had read in the aparecium, though that was a rubbish publication. Y'know, some times it had some truth in it.

What was with Yoongi and the... Oh. Who the heck was that? Zander looked over at the woman quite curiously. She didn't go here. Much too old to be a student... And definitely not a Professor or else Zander may have accidentally missed every single one of her classes. Aheeeeeem. That couldn't be it. "The board of-- Oh!" Zander DID know what that was.. Well, sort of. "They're a bunch of rich, snooty folks who basically run our entire school," or uh, something like that. They had a lot of power, that's all Zander knew. And they were all rich. Probably some big donors or something. Hm. They were #GOALS probably. "I think..." he scratched his head. "But I don't really know why she's here?" 'Cause this was THEIR holiday party, was it not?

"That's a bloody awful gift," he mused, talking about the being sick thing. "Hopefully it'll run it's course and you'll be better soon though." And in the mean time make sure your sleeping bag is as far away from the Head Boy as possible K THANKS.

"Y'know, surprisingly I'm not all that convinced," he gave her a skeptical look... Normally when people said things like 'everything's just peachy' it meant 'everything is not at all peachy'. It's one of those things Zander picked up on in his life. Unlike Runes, learning how to understand people was actually useful. Though... He could've also been terribly mistaken in which case, should he have made the assumption in the first place? Eh. Probably not. But honestly, he stuck by it 'cause Candice didn't really look very happy for someone on the Holidays. But then again, he was sure he hadn't ever seen Candice actually look happy. She was an interesting girl, that's for sure. Ahem. "Thanks," he said, looking down at his jumper to double check to see which he was actually wearing. Oh yes, he liked this one too. Ahem. "I like your antlers, probably a way better choice than this stupid beard, it's miserably itchy." Not one of his finest decisions tbh.
