be curious, not judgmental Sophie wasn't blind - she could SEE people rolling their eyes at her for gushing about Zander, but didn't they realize it was the ASSIGNMENT? Also, even MORE than that, she was PROVING A POINT about how Zander wasn't just silly and whatever most people viewed him as. He was deep and kind and thoughtful and smart and a good, loyal friend. He was more than just comic relief.
Zander's word choice for her, though, was... not... entirely what she thought it would be. Capable? She wasn't sure if she agreed with that realistically, but... she supposed he was doing that thing again, being encouraging. So even if she WASN'T capable, he was encouraging her that she could be capable. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps.
Still, she gave him a warm smile and resisted the urge to reach over to hold his hand. No, they'd be dismissed soon and they could go--
Aaand they WERE dismissed. Rising to her feet, Soph slung her bag over her shoulder and did indeed now reach for Zander's hand to hold so they could leave together. "Thanks for the memories, professor-- err, Headmaster... King Botros." And for the good bonding time with her co-head student leader, bonding time that she usually got a whole lot of anyway willingly. Hehehe. "Have a nice day."
