She thought it was amazing. Everything they did at Hogwarts over Christmas was lovely, and whilst she felt a pang of sadness for those students not going home for Christmas to be with their families, she knew they would be having a very lovely time anyway.

Colt shook his head and waved off the apology. "Nah it is okay Professor. Nothing can stop me from eating." he smirked and began to dive into the delicious food even more. Colt nodded and understood the feeling. "Yeah my mom stole my santa hat. It is back home I forgot to bring it. I will remember next year." He tilted his head in confusion and didn't understand what she was saying. "Wait...you mean that bon bon.....that piece of candy could be a santa hat?" Well he was talking to the transfiguration teacher so anything is possible. He began to dig into his steak when he heard Professor York ask about his holidays.

He chewed a bit more before he answered. He didn't want to spray any food onto her. He swallowed and took a swig of pumpkin juice and replied with, "Oh my holidays are great! This castle is amazing for the holidays. I mean I went to Durmstrang for three years and it wasn't this cool." He began to look around in awe still at all the trees and decorations. "My mother sent me a card and gifts early before the holidays so I am all set." he grinned. She managed to get him a skateboard which he enjoys.

Should he go say hi? He was debating and thought why not. She looked like the same age. "Hey.." he began. Wait a minute that sounded lame. He cleared his throat and introduced himself. "I am Colt. Colt Winchester.." he nodded towards her. "You new here?"

I mean at home I would be lonely and just be with my mom. I wanted to explore the castle and see what my cousins were talking about. They were not wrong. It is fun to be here and plus Kate is hanging around too." he smirked a little bit. "Get any good presents this year?"
