"It's really good," he said around a mouthful, wondering why she wasn't going for it.

Maggie was watching him closely.

Well, not TOO closely of course. Still totes casual. Just two friends hanging out in the kitchen, you know. They were friends, right? Hmm. Not really though. She'd been ready to ditch him completely and never speak to him again a few moments ago. So maybe not friends per se. Acquaintances?

Each other's dates now apparently.

After he'd taken the bite she'd offered to him, Maggie licked her fingers clean of the chocolate. Maybe she should've picked something a little less sticky. And chocolate-y. And sugary. She could feel it sticking to the inside of her mouth now. Oh well. It wasn't THAT bad. The cake tasted pretty good.

Eyes back on Zeke she just looked at him for a long moment. Eh. Speak. She should say something. Mhm. "So what's your favorite then?" Maggie eventually asked with a small grin. "Cake I mean." Obviously.
