He knew of no stupid species to go for it after their triumph last term. "Unless," he reached out his hand to pet the fox on his/her head. "One of the students smuggled it in? Can you keep it safe while we investigate about this?" What an extraordinary case he had to work on.

As for their help. "Well, I'm assuming you're working at full capacity already with your Prefects and patrolling. But if you know someone who isn't, please do give them a good talking-to." He was entrusting him with this mission.

Eyes widening a bit as his posture straightened, the astronomer simply nodded his head firmly in confirmation. Not what he had been asking, not exactly, but the fidgeting man would roll with the punches. "Certainly," he said. Assuming he could find the person in question to give that firm reminder to.

Natural habitat? Airey wasn't sure he liked the sound of that on grounds that he did not even know what a fox's natural habitat even WAS. That had been part of a conversation he had entirely tuned out, apparently.

"Actually, Headmaster, I was rather hoping to leave it in Medea's care," he said shyly while looking down at his feet. "She runs a private rehabilitation center of sorts from our home..."
SPOILER!!: HAHAHAHA I laughed at this WAY more than I thought I would XD

He tried scratching them against the rope, hoping to be able to cut himself free, but he was unsuccessful.

A weird sensation passed over Olly all of a sudden. What was that? He sniffed with his fox nose to see if there was something nearby, and found that his sense of smell was diminishing. He could not even pick up Flamsteed's scent. The potion was wearing off; he still had not decided if that was good or bad.

At least there would be no question about returning him to his natural habitat. His fox ears shrank back into normal human ears. He lost the reddish fur, to have it replaced by his regular skin. And his body grew, because an eleven year old boy was bigger than a fox. Unfortunately, he was still caught in the same net. The rope dug into his arms and his face. And FINALLY he was able to speak again.

"I'm not a fox I'm a boy!" He pushed against the rope, trying to free himself. That would probably leave a mark. "It was part of an assignment. For Potions! I didn't know foxes weren't allowed!" He tried to look toward the Headmaster as he gave his explanation, but the net did not offer him much freedom of movement. "Let me go! I'm not a fox!"

If his eyes had widened early now they were BUGGING out of his head.

"S-S-S-S-SW-SW-SWEET SOLSTICE!"

He had to put the net down eventually since, well, he did not posses the strength in just one arm to carry such a load, and stepped apprehensively off to the side.

Opps?

BUT IT STILL PROVED HIS POINT THAT TINY LITTLE CREATURES COULD MOVE FREELY THROUGH THE CASTLE UNNOTICED AND UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT IT WAS SMUGGLED IN OR SOMEONE'S FAMILIAR!

Only that point was shrouded in embarrassment and red ears at the Slytherin.

Oops?

Uuuuuuuuuuuh...

"Yes yes of course!" he stammered while scrambling around for his wand to banish the yet in one swift movement. "Thank you for...er...clearing that up, Mr. Thomas-Borzekowski. Terribly and sincerely sorry for putting you through all that." Oh sweet solstice. "Take 5 points for being a very convincing creature."

And to pretend like this neeeeeeever eeeeeeeeeeeever happened? Yes?
