Also she kinda liked spending time with him, so yk.

It wasn't a long walk down to the kitchens and once they'd reached the painting, Maggie turned her head to look at Zeke. He was still there, good. She reached up to tickle the pear, then walked inside. Ah. Good. It was also a lot warmer in here than it had been outside. Or even in the castle's corridors.

Like, seriously, heating, had someone told them about that?

Finally pulling off Zeke's sweater again she held it out to him. "I gave yours to Flamsteed, by the way." Actually, was this it? She glanced down at the piece of clothing in her hand for a moment, then up at his face again. If it was, then it better be clean. Although she hadn't smelled anything out of the ordinary while wearing it either so it was probably all good.

It was as they were making their trek to the kitchens that he wondered what was meant by 'date-like' ... was there criteria? The kitchen was a busy place, and house elves didn't really make for the most romantic of settings, but it was cosy, very cosy, which was evidenced by the sudden change in temperature when they entered.

Perhaps it was the fires and the warm glow, but he liked the way Maggie's hair looked, more so right now than before, not that it had been bad before. He liked it, always liked it even.

Accepting the sweater Maggie handed back to him, he cocked his head to the side. Say what? SHE gave it to Flamsteed? "Oh," he voiced, more out of surprise than anything else. "I got it back, Nimma cleaned it for me, did a good job of it too." But so, did that mean he had HER to thank instead of Flamsteed? Because he was cool with that. "Surprised you didn't leave it down there though... I did."
