Robert Miles Paxton was born in Dortmund, Germany on the 20th of June 2046. He was raised in the former industrial town by his parents, Gordon John Paxton who was an Automotive Mechanical Engineer, and Jane Bernadette Paxton who was a muggle pre-school teacher.

Robert spent most of his childhood in Dortmund with his parents and older siblings, Gordon Jr., and Mary-Anne. The Paxton children would always be found outdoors with their bicycles, roaming around the neighbourhood, exploring and meeting most of their neighbours during the summer. The Paxton sibling received their preparatory education at an international boarding school in Duisburg-Düsseldorf, and lived like any normal muggle children. It was at the age of ten that the youngest Paxton, Robert, started showing signs that he has the blood of a wizard. Due to this, his family decided to go back to Leeds to re-connect with their relatives who showed the same signs. A year after, Robert received his Acceptance Letter from Hogwarts, while his brother and sister continued their education at a local English boarding school.

On the first of September 2057, Robert left his Leeds home to attend Hogwarts and started his formal magical training. He was sorted in Gryffindor, and quickly made friends from his House, as well as from the other houses of the school. Always the inquisitive kid, he was fascinated with the possibility of tying up the wizarding world with its muggle counterpart. He was particularly fond of the muggle transportation systems, and the possibility of it being charmed to be used in the wizarding community. The idea was supported by his muggle family, especially with his father, who is an automotive expert. Apart from being a prankster in school, he also played as a Chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team during his stay in Scotland.

Finishing his studies in Hogwarts, he left home once more to attend University in Athens, Greece to pursue a degree in Advanced Charms, as well as Experimental Magic and Research. There, he met his future wife, Marjorie Penn. After university, Robert went on to work for different Broom Companies as a broom tester. He became so passionate about brooms, which caused the end of his marriage with Marj. Robert and Marjorie divorced on February 2080, with one child, Zoe Emmanuelli Paxton

To overcome his depression, Robert decided to venture forward with his life as a Professional World Traveller, using a muggle motorbike as his means of transportation. He lived as a happy nomad for four years, until an owl crashed against his helmet on his way home to Leeds for the Christmas Holidays. The said owl came from the Ministry, stating that there was an opening for the Magical Transportation Department, and that he was one of those qualified for the position of Department Head. Robert had reservations about the proposal, but eventually gave in since he knew that he can’t live as a nomad forever, as well as the need to make ends meet.

As he had expected, he didn't last long in the Ministry, taking into account that it had been a pre-mature move for someone who wanted to explore the world. He was determined to go back to the nomad life, but then he had a very young daughter who was about to start her own magical training, and had to provide for her needs. As if on cue, he was given the opportunity to work for the International Quidditch Committee, noting that not a lot of wizards or witches were keen on applying as it was a very stressful job. However, seeing that he needed a replacement job fast, he took his chance, got a job, and even got his employer to increase his initial salary. Expecting that he wouldn't enjoy the job, he was surprised to be proven wrong. The pay has been excellent, and the amount of travelling it demanded from him has been absurd, that it made up for his dreams of becoming a perpetual world traveller.
