Baskins was VERY special. He was her first pet. The pet that stayed with her during the thunderstorms that were just a little too loud and shaky. The pet the followed her everywhere. The pet she woke up to and went to sleep at night with. Of course, she couldn't bring him to Hogwarts so he had to stay.
