Making his way down from the Astronomy Tower after filing away some paperwork and finishing up some final touches on one of his experiments, the suited astronomer strolled into the staff room with Pebbles following close behind on her signature pink leash.
"Ah, Beatrice, thank you for coming," he greeted the Transfiguration professor while heading straight for his mug and filling it with coffee. Some letters he had on his person were quickly discarded on to the table in front of him and Pebbles placed on her own chair. "I hope you are finding your post at Hogwarts to your liking?"
Small talk first. Medea had told him he ought to practice easing into more serious matters. Good at breaking ice...or something.
