And of course her spell was successful, which didn't surprise him in all honesty. She was doing very well. Especially for a first year, like woah. This stuff just looked like it came naturally to her. If only it came naturally to him too. Siiiiigh.

Now it was his last turn meaning all the pressure. And he had gotten the spell to work the last time, but just the aim. He needed the ball to appear in his hands, that's all. Once Ava let go, he closed his eyes and focused as hard as he could. 'Depulso,' he thought one last time. And !!!! THE BALL DISAPPEARED!!!

Uh. Again popping up right next to him instead of in his hands. Eeeeerr... "I think I've just been overworking it," he nodded. "Maybe we should call it a day?" Y'know, and then he could get it right once he stayed up all night practicing the nonverbal again. Merlin. He'd ever pass his NEWTs.
