Olly was not really looking forward to Arithmancy. It was basically math which meant it was probably boring. But he had still showed up, because so far he had not been to a lesson that had been too boring. Plus Ellery was there, so he was there.

Olly had no idea who Pythagoras was, but he did know what tic tac toe was. He was definitely fine with playing a game, even if that wasn't all they were doing during the lesson. He got out a piece of paper and drew the grid. He placed an x right in the middle before handing it over to Ellery, who was sitting right next to him. Of course they would play together.
