Slightly out of breath from all the running, which included taking the stairs several at a time, the astronomer arrived with the net containing a fox still clutched triumphantly in his hand and Pebbles in the other. He opened his mouth to speak the password and immediately thought against it. There were a number of reasons why not to just barge right up there into the man's office and one of them was furry and had four legs. Rumor was that dogs and foxes did not get along too well and the man would rather not risk loss of limb in any sort of skirmish.
So...he was just going to stand here. With a net. That had a fox in it. And a rock in the other hand.
His feet? Totally crisscrossed. There was no time for shoe swapping at a time like this and the astronomer still had surprisingly good balance despite nearly faceplanting three times.
Totally acting natural - minus the mild panting and little beards of sweat on his brow.
Just another day at Hogwarts.
