Well that Olympia girl seemed to be on top of things. He appreciated that. It would definitely make the coffee-less morning loads easier. So he smiled at her and watched as she went ahead and got rid of some of the more obvious out-of-place branches.
But his attention was momentarily taken away when Blaise spoke up, apparently unhappy about the use of wands? Uh… Hate to break it to you kid, but this is a magic school… Magic is sort of a requirement here? Didn’t he know? But um, he seemed to look highly discouraged. A look Zander was all too familiar with to be real honest here. And Zander would’ve gone to talk to him, but see Flamsteed was taking care of that so no need.
… Or not.

Before turning back to Blaise, however, he heard Zeke speak up. Oh. Yeah. Directions might be useful? Errr… ”You and Yoongi could help direct trimming on the head end of things?” Since they were older and all… ”Up to you guys on how you want the lion to look, just communicate with the rest of the team, yeah?” How come Gryffindor had the hardest task? Lions were WAY harder to shape than any snake or badger would be. Also that advice probably wasn’t helpful, and he was aware. Ahem. But if he was apparently helping Blaise with the tail end, then it’d probably be best to let the others decide how they wanted their own end to look.
Looking back at Professor Flamsteed, he gave the man a slight nod. Riiiiight then. He turned to Blaise, ”I'll help break off twigs and stuff for the tail… We can do it without magic, together,” This is not how Zander imagined his weekend would go by the way. But alas.
They’d shape the tail by hand… And Zander would just brush up the jagged edges with his wand afterwards. Not such a terrible plan, right?
