Weren't the buttons just adorable! She couldn't be happier with the positivity going on in the room. It just made her more bouncy and happy! Her button continued to speak when she walked back the students,

"Your hair is bouncy"

"You sit so straight it's great!"

"Great answers!!"

she pointed at the first person who had their hand up;

SPOILER!!: answers

Well that was not very good either. He did not appreciate nightmares, they were very scary. He especially did not like having them while at Hogwarts, when there was nobody around to comfort him. But some dreams were happy, and he tried to focus on that fact. Olly stared at the clouds that were white and fluffy, like clouds should be. They were nice, and not scary at all. Good. He raised his hand.

"If we write down our dreams as soon as we wake up we can remember them later. Or read about them if we don't remember them." But he did not know what dream divination was called. He was just a first year, he couldn't be expected to know something like that. He wasn't some sort of divination prodigy. That would be crazy.
She snapped for his answer and grinned, "That is a great idea! We always dream, but we don't always remember. Our thoughts change into other things and the dream slips away, but if we can think for a few minutes before getting up it could help us remember then write it down."

Of course dreams were mentioned TOO because dreams could be almost as exciting as plants And scarier too, but they didn't need to think about those, 'specially since nobody was ever allowed to know she still had those all the time. That was a baby thing, probably, but sometimes the bad ones just wouldn't go away. It wasn't fair.

With her hand straight up in the air, she said, "It's called oneiromancy! Because the greek root oneiros means 'dream.'" As for the how to remember the dreams part, she had no idea. Sometimes she remembered her dreams (even if she wished she wouldn't) and sometimes she couldn't recall having a dream at all. That was brain stuff. She was still learning the words to DESCRIBE brain stuff. The understanding bits could come later.
"Very good! Oneiromancy is what we will be studying today!!" She gave snaps to the right answer!

But Zander could just say he didn't remember any of his dreams anyways, so all clear. Or he could make something up. He tended to do that with this class most of the time anyways. And it always worked for him, so y'know? What's the harm. Not like someone could actually prove that he didn't dream whatever dream he claimed to dream. That was a lot of dreamin'. Woah.

Eeeeer. "Dreamomancy?" he offered. Well. It was worth a shot. At least he was putting himself out there, Professor. Or maybe it was sleepomancy? Could also be bedomancy, even. That'd explain the beds.

And also he had no idea how people remembered their dreams. It just sort of happened? Like sometimes you'd wake up and your dream would just be in your head. And other times it wouldn't. Just science. Was there really a method to the madness?
She gave Zander snaps too, "Not quite, but such a great guess!" Beaming at his effort, she loved effort!

I love your shoes!

Paulina eyed her button for interrupting Professor Cassie even if it was with a compliment. Turning slightly pink, she wondered if she could get away with silencing the thing. Sadly she thought the answer was no.

Your ideas are splendid!

...

Why wouldn't it stop talking???

Frowning slightly, it took a moment for Paulina to notice that the clouds had gotten darker. Well, that was slightly ominous. Raising her hand, she offered a guess in reply to the questions. "I believe it's referred to as Oneiromancy. A good way to remember your dreams is to write down what you remember from them as soon as you wake up."
"Oneiromancy is exactly it! Very good! I like your shoes too!" She snapped and chuckled at the button. She was loving these buttons!

Hehe. Wasn't that the truth? Gosh, yes. The Hufflepuff bobbed his head, agreeing at the button. And then he was getting snaps from the woman. WOOT! He had been among those that had guessed correctly. Grinning, he wrapped an arm around Bruce. What? His kid side was very much alive in him. He was never going to loose it, okay?

He watched as the clouds changed colour and listened as Cassie continued. Yeah, he didn't exactly need dreams to tell him his fears. He fought with it everyday, didn't he? Anyway, Adi totally dug the dark clouds. "Sleepomancy?'' he randomly suggested, his hand up. "Oh, no. Wait... never mind, Professor. That would be if we're studying the way someone sleeps if there's something like that.'' Hehe. Not at all feeling silly, the Puff continued. "I remember my dreams by constantly thinking about it. Especially if they are the ones that stick out in my memories. Nightmares or the ones that make me really happy.''
She gave Adi snaps, "That is a great guess, but not the word we are looking for." She loved all the attempts going on!

Your pajamas look good! So much for being quiet. Dream divination! Divination class is really fun! She had been doing some independent study of this particular branch of divination. Dream divination is called oneiromancy. I write everything about my dreams that I can remember in a dream journal." Recently a lot of her dreams had involved giant spiders. Probably had something to do with the fact that an acromantula had tried to catch and eat her last term. There were sometimes other dreams that didn't have scary spiders in them though, so that was good.
She smiled at Penelope when she spoke up. They had spoken about this before and she nodded and snapped, "Yes very good. A dream journal is a wonderful thing to have. I always have had one. My mother was the first one to have me start it." It was a good way to start learning the family love of Divination and help with writing skills.

Sabbath grinned as Noelle approached, he had, of course, been looking out for her. "I was looking for a dream" he replied quietly to her question - it was divination class after all. He turned his attention to the professor who had begun addressing the class.

Sabbath thought about the Professors question and replied "I don’t know the name for dream interpretation in English, Professor, but I’ve seen it done many times for the gaje (non gypsy) customers by my grandmother. To interpret the dream, the person must be woken when the eyes dance during sleep. Only then they will remember the dream. The Drabarni can then interpret what she sees.

Afterwards, Sabbath wondered about the compliment that Noelle's button had given. You're the best thing since sliced bread- He didn't get it - sliced bread?? He shrugged and looked at her. Then his own button piped up "Your smile lights up the room", [/B]. Well this compliment he understood, and he agreed with it. He was not embarrassed.
"Very good, that is called REM when the eyes are dancing. Great job!!" He got snaps!!

The boy was busy sipping at his tea so he didn't notice at first when Ellery joined them on the comfy bed and Olly started snuggling with her.

It was okay, he didn't have anything against her, so long as she didn't get really super loud in class 'cause then his quill would start paying more attention to HER than the Professor and his notes would be coming from the wrong place. So yeah, she got a dimpled smile when he DID finally realize she'd joined them.

You look like you give good hugs!

Blaise watched the clouds around them changing colour as the Professor spoke, narrating the change himself so his quill could make good note of it. "Some dreams require no effort to remember because they're SO weird or creepy or amazing that they stay with you even when you try to forget them. Relaying the dream to a quick quotes quill somewhat preserves the memory too."

It didn't always get the dream exactly as it happened but who cared? Neither was real anyway.
She snapped for Blaise, "Very good. Yes it is always interesting the dreams we remember compared to the ones we don't. I fully remember in detail some of my worst dreams, but hate the fact I can't remember some of my good dreams."

Shrug.

Pulling out his writing things, the boy started making a few notes about the topic. Dreams. DREAAAAAMS. Interesting topic, wasn't it? Like those stupid star signs that you can't help but look at the meanings for, even if you didn't believe any of them. He was certainly interested to see what these MEANT but was he going to believe it? Uh. We'll see.

Wait. Hold on. "Professaaaaaaah!" YOO-HOO! HELLO! "What if you don't remember your dreams in the first place?" Because knowing what this boy's memory was like, he would be surprised if he even remembered what he had for breakfast that day.
She smiled at the first year, "It can be hard to remember, but I will give you a few tricks to remember." She gave him a few snaps.

She turned hearing Angel and gave some snaps, "Very good try and I could see where you would think it was like catching a dream, but it isn't called dream catching. I do like the sound of that though." It sounded like a game then just remembering.

The Claw didn't really know much about it but he had read that many people believed it and took part in at least a little bit of dream divination or interpretation. Raising his hand, he gave his answer. "Professor, I think that people pick apart their dreams and try to find symbols and figure out what their meaning is in their lives. Muggles do this some too I'm pretty sure." he nodded. At his mom's cafe he'd heard a batty old lady claim that she was going to be coming into a huge bit of money sometime soon to anyone who would listen.
She looked at another first year and grinned. They were great participators. "Yes that is what we do with dreams. We try to figure out the meaning behind them. Our minds are such powerful things and it is always working and trying to show us things." He got snaps and she beamed about all the great answers.

Almost bouncing off the ground as she stood in front of them all she snapped more, "I am just blown away by all your answers. You never seize to amaze me. " Honestly she just loved teaching these brilliant minds. "Now it was said that Oneiromancy or dream interpretation can be used to figure out many things. Dreams can solve problems that you are struggling with, predict things that will happen in your future, or warn you about something in your life that needs to be changed."

Making sure the clouds were white and fluffy again, she didn't want nightmares to cloud the positive in the room, but a loud thud could have scared a few when Leo's kneazle jumped from the bookcase in the back of the room. Cassie glanced at her for just a moment, she didn't have the timing Cassie hoped. No she was suppose to jump during the dark cloud part.

"Now it was mentioned that dreams happen when the eyes are dancing, this dancing is REM sleep. It is when you are in your deepest sleep. Sometimes dreams happen because our mind is so focused on something that it's all we can think about. Maybe your parents had told you no, or maybe something had happened that you can't get out of your mind whether you want to or not. Your dreams end up becoming those thoughts. It is your mind trying to work through the issues. Help you in ways you might not figure out awake. If you turn to page 520 in your book you will find the chapter about dreams. There you will find different meanings to different things. I want you to take a few moments and randomly pick a word in the book and tell us the meaning." She opened the book and turned to Daughter, "For example dreaming of a daughter means signifies that many displeasing incidents will give way to pleasure and harmony. If in the dream. I'll give you ten minutes to find your word."

She was going to sip her tea and pet a now perched on her bed chair Madonna."[/b]
