It was a cool evening but Milo found himself at the Observatory of the Astronomy Tower lugging his telescope and wearing a jacket and scarf. He'd also brought gloves (not that it was super cold but he'd be using his hands a lot and it was windy up here and kind of...out in the open) and had them tucked away for now in one of his pockets.
Finding a good spot along the tower's rampart, the Ravenclaw set up his telescope and unpacked his supplies from the bag slung over his shoulder. Once all of that was out, he pulled his wand out of his pants pocket and a slip of paper that he had copied the spell he had to use in order to focus his telescope. He'd spent some time in the Library the day before looking it up and had practiced it in his head a few times.
"Lens focalis." He whispered as he tapped his wand tip to the brass of the telescope. He took a peek through the lens and tilted it until he was able to see the moon.
