Right, homework. Olly knew that's what they'd been planning on meeting. But he was generally not a fan of homework. Because it was boring, of course.

"How about we don't and say we did." The entire point of their homework was just to play catch. How would the professor even know if they actually did it or not? But at least it was just playing catch, so it wasn't too bad. It wasn't boring. And he could do it while also hanging out with Ellery.

She didn't give him much of an opportunity to react before throwing the ball. He supposed that was the point of testing his reflexes. But he hadn't come there for a TEST, ELLERY. At least he had his wand in his hand already, and he was able to have it up and pointing at the ball almost as soon as it was thrown.
