Maggie was secretly glad that all Hady did was give her shoulders a soft squeeze. Under different circumstances she would have wanted lots of hugs. But not now. Now she was genuinely upset. Over everything that had happened in the last few hours. It just sucked.

That really wasn't helping much but it was accurate. Maggie nodded. "He shouldn't have left." But she was just repeating the same thing over and over again and it started to make her sound....pathetic almost. Which she wasn't. Not at all. "It doesn't matter now though." Yeah. It really didn't.

Just friends, right. Maggie turned in her seat slightly to be able to look at Hady properly. There had been a bit of a pause and it had caught her attention. "What about Zeke?" Why was he 'just' a friend then? Like...he WAS, right? She hadn't missed anything. Weirdly she hadn't asked if he'd made out with anyone else over the summer or something, now that she got to think of it. Not that it mattered now.
