Falling in step with Hady very quickly, Zeke followed her to their obstacle, the bars, catching her sideways glance. He shrugged again, "Maybe just a little?" he replied casually. He wouldn't deny it. Pausing beside her, Zeke looked up at the same time. The first bar was at a good height, easy enough to jump up and grab a hold of, and so he did. Hands out of his pocket, he took position in a crouch and swiftly propelled himself high enough to grip the bar in the palm of his hands. He hung there a moment, swinging too and fro a little.
...
What was that?
The easy way or the fun way?
At that, Zeke dropped back down beside her, shaking his head.
"So you're saying I'm not the fun way?" Thanks, THANKS HADY! "... you shouldn't be rude, it might bet you in trouble," and without warning he bent slow to grab her around the legs, lifting her high enough that she might reach the bars... if she didn't fall over his back instead. He wasn't really paying attention to technique, just making her pay for her backhanded comment.
A shrug. That was all she got? Not even a grin or smirk or something. Hady simply shrugged as well letting it go for now he was still being his playful self.
When he did look at her just then with his comment of 'just a little' she gave him a smile. Taking a step back to give him space and she so wouldn't accidentally get kicked she watched him. "Nice," She commented nodding her head as he swung back and forth. Boy made it look for easy.
Only he dropped down just as fast as he had jumped up and his head shaking confused her. What she say? She had only been teasing around.
Not fun. Rude? She wasn't being rude! Hady was never rude! And certainly not to him he was her best friend didn't he know that?! "I wa-," She began opening her mouth to explain. Only she didn't get a chance to because she was suddenly lifted off the floor without warning making her 'yelp' in surprise. Wobbling backwards since she was caught off guard and nearly did fall over only keeping that from happening by quickly laying a hand on his shoulder. Quickly steadying herself she reached upwards and just managed to grab the bar.
Hady waited until he let go and had moved before swinging back and forth a few times, or well enough to get one foot up to reach the bar. Slipping her foot between her hands she hooked her leg over the bar and then did the same with the other leg so she was hanging by her knees as she looked at him upside down.
"First off you should know me much better then to think I'd be rude to you. And secondly I was teasing you Zeke, I always have fun with I'm with you...I'd just meant that if you didn't want to lift me I'd have climbed." That was all. Nothing to get all angry over and call her rude. Hady blinked several times at him wondering what was up with him now. Nice? So she was impressed, right? Zeke smirked, quite chuffed with himself.
Of course he didn't bother giving Hady the opportunity to explain herself, he was just playing around anyway... she knew that, right? So with her secure in his arms, he waited for her to get a hold of the bar, content that she had it when he felt her let go of his shoulder.
Grinning, he stepped away, watching as she manoeuvred her legs up and over the bars until she was hanging upside down. "Smooth." Very impressive, Hady.
But then she went on some kind of explanation of the meaning of her words which he was quick to dismiss with a wave. "I know that," he was quick to respond, hoisting himself up again. He hung there, limply for a short moment before swinging and gaining enough momentum that he gained height enough to along himself to hold himself up above the bar. His arms were burning, but he was learning to appreciate the pain. "So... what made you decide you wanted to do this today?" he asked casually, though there was a little strain in his voice as he adjusted his grip on the bar.
