While Maggie was thinking or whatever she happened to be doing Hady smoothed the fur on Hagan's head. For a brief moment she had nearly almost forgotten that he was curled up on her lap. At least until he headbutted her arm in reminder.

When Maggie replied she looked over at her and nodded. "If my question was wrong or something I didn't mean anything by it. I just thought maybe the two of you were dating or something." She hadn't known they weren't. Most people she knew were dating the person they snogged. So her questioned had been a legitimate one in her mind. Sorry if you didn't think so Maggie.

But then she went and said that and Hady couldn't believe it. Yes from what Maggie had already told her the detention was horrible but he left her there? Now that was something she couldn't believe or understand why, it didn't sound at all like him. "He left you there? Alone to kiss toads?" The look on Hady's face was a mix of confusion, disbelief and probably a few other things. She did believe Maggie though.
