Easy enough, right?
Wrong. Clearly.
Because though he was planning on dodging everything, he didn't think of possible traps. Like the oldest one in the book. Tripping someone. Which just so happened to be the one thing that threw him off course. Or well, off his feet. Because he hadn't seen the foot sticking out in time to stop himself from running, and just as he noticed he was flying straight through the air to-- "OOOOF!!"
Oh man. Talk about a rough landing.
The Gryffindor not only went flying into the air, but he landed straight on his face managing to scrape his chin and get dirt basically EVERYWHERE. Including into his mouth. Blegh. Forget the sash business. He was eating dirt??? The Prefect spit out a huge chunk of the gross bit of ground he managed to get in his mouth, before making faces of ultimate disgust. Was his chin bleeding?
... Also whose foot was that? Daxton braced himself, readying not so much for the impact but for the physical contact he was wilfully participating in. The disillusioned individual seemed to be running at full pelt, and it did hurt when they collided with Daxton's bare foot, but not enough that any pain registered on his (still very visible, much like the rest of him) face. Judging by the sound of the fall and the way that the dirt started flying, Daxton wished he could have seen whoever it was go down properly; it probably would have been a spectacular sight.
After waiting a moment or two, Daxton took a step closer towards where the spluttering individual was now lying on the ground. He still could not see them, but it was fairly obvious they were still there. Looking in their general direction, Daxton silently held his hand out for the sash, with no apparent concern for the mystery individual's welfare.
He was a little curious, he had to admit, about who exactly he had just tagged.
