Maggie was clean.
Not that she FELT clean, though.
But she'd just been in the shower for a VERY LONG TIME trying to scrub off all the grossness. Especially in her hair. She was going to let it air-dry tonight because she hadn't felt like drying it herself. All she'd felt like doing was sit here in front of the fireplace, wearing an oversized sweater over her pajamas, and feel sorry for herself.
She wasn't even sure what the worst part about this detention had been. It had been fine at first but then it had all just....gone downwards from there. Stupid Flamsteed had ruined everything! Zeke had too though. Boys. Seriously. Why had he just abandoned her like that? Was it because she'd probably looked pretty bad covered in gross mud-water? Was that it?
