Then he was asking them to take them to their forever home. Holy Merlin. This day. Was. Amazing.

"I GET TO KEEP A ROCK?!? Can I have Dwayne??" Because purposes. Noelle glanced at Mr Moore. "If you don't mind? Please???"

"They mostly just enjoy watching you eat," he explained, as he shuffled the rocks about inside the box so they were all facing up. "No need to make them anything specific and they get along well with every creature. Don't even mind so much when crups relieve themselves on them."

Their owners, on the other hand, did. Very much.

"You certainly can," he chirped. "How about we have you hold him and see how it feels?" Dwayne was rather large, about double the size of Pebbles...give or take...and Miss Summers was quite petite. The astronomer scooped the rock up and offered it to the Gryffindor. "Here you are..."

Two out of six down on his first try? This truly was a good day.

"I don't mind at all." He didn't have much of a preference, he would love any one of them. He watched as... Miss Summers was it?... held the large rock. It was rather large, and she was rather small. But she was probably a first or second year, so she still had time to grow. He shoved his hands in his pockets and looked down at Pebbles. It was cute how she was on her little leash, being pulled along behind the professor. The boy waved to her.

While the exchange was going down, Austin looked around at the gathering. There were a few house elves, and almost every professor. There were students as well, all eating and talking. Hopefully not at the same time. His stomach growled, asking for more food. So he obliged, and grabbed a piece of bacon off his plate. He was never this excited to eat breakfast. Maybe because it was outside.

SPOILER!!: Hady

Turning away from the food... SIGH...the snakette headed over to Professor Airey and Austin and Noelle. "Good morning Professor, are you adopting out more Pet Rocks," she asked happily tucking her hands into the pocket of her hoodie where Elvis just so happening to be sleeping. Just because he wasn't always visible didn't mean she didn't have him with her.

Glancing at Austin and Noelle she gave the two of them small nods and a slight grin. "Are you both going to adopt one?" They were really easy to care for and made awesome starter pets and such.

When he had finished his piece of bacon, a girl, about her age, came up to them. She seemed to also know about the pet rocks. Did she have one? Or was she here to adopt one too? "That's my plan." He grabbed another piece of bacon, dragged it through the syrup that had dripped from the pancakes, and took a bite. This both satisfied his hunger, and gave him an excuse not to talk much. He wasn't exactly a social butterfly, although he was trying.
