Hogwarts RPG Name: Adelynn Bleu Kingston Third Year | SPOILER!!: Mr. Kitridge Quote:

"I take it though that you miss your cat's companionship?" If she did it wasn't unnatural it was just what every young girl or boy went through. It was perfectly all right to get homesick. Even Leo remembered vaguely how he had felt in his junior years when he had been away from his family. "The sorting hat does posses some very strong magic so it's not entirely impossible that it actually took a peek into your brain and saw your inner most thoughts and desires." He pointed out. "But I'm far from an expert. I'm really glad you enjoyed the sorting experience though. It's supposed to be memorable." Leo said as he raised his cup to drink his tea. He almost choked on his tea though as he blushed in reaction to Adelynn's words. Coughing he shook his head in disbelief "Thank you, but I'm far from a superhero. I just work around books and try to help my eagles to the best of my abilities." If Cassie was there right then she'd probably say that he was being too modest but Leo had never really been comfortable with people giving him grand compliments. It just made him look for the catch. Taking a cookie from the tray he took a few bites out of it in between tea sips. "How's classes going? Have you made any friends yet?" Adelynn nodded at Mr. Kitridges comment about her parents. "Indeed, sir!" She then looked down. "But yes, I do miss my kitty, her name is Elsie. She's the cutest cat that you'll ever see, ooh I wish I had a picture with me to show you!" Her other two cats were cool too, but they were more of family pets. Elsie had a personal liking to Adelynn and vice versa.
Adelynn smiled and listened to Mr. Kitridge. The sorting hat definitely had some type of magic to it that Adelynn had never seen before. Then she bit her lip nervously at Mr. Kitridges reaction to her fascination with him. She didn't mean to make him uncomfortable, she kind of just had that effect on some people. She still strongly felt that he had incredible occupations at Hogwarts though and felt the need to voice it. "Superheros come in all different forms, sir!" she took a quick sip of her tea and continued, "Honestly, I think you're living, like truly living." she said with a slow nod. "I mean you get to be around books, so you can learn about any subject you wish! You also get to help others too! And there are so many other things that come with the job. I mean I couldn't even..." She thought about the idea of her potentially becoming a Head of House in another 15 years or so, and shook her head. "IMAGINE doing what you do. Nope, I wouldn't be good enough. It's a great job but I'm sure there's so much competition and.." she ran out of breathe and then looked up at Mr. Kitridge. "I'm sorry, I can get a little carried away sometimes, sir."
The mention of classes kept her energy level up. "Oh, I love my classes! All my professors make the classes so much more interesting than they already are. Astronomy has to be one of my favorites so far!" Her first astronomy lesson was very memorable and stood out to her among the others.
Adelynn calmed down at the mention of friends, as much as she loved them dearly, she didn't find friends and relationships to be as exciting as learning. Adelynn had made a good variety of friends already, something she didn't expect but was happy with. "Yeah, the students here are great! I'm good friends with one of my dorm mates, met some friendly Gryffindors, and some people from the other houses too." She smiled. "I have to say, I'm a bit shocked at the amount of people I've befriended. I only had two or three close friends back at Beauxbatons, sir." She definitely was never a popular child but not a lonely one either. |
