She was only joking, of course. Well, sort of. Had Colt kept her around, he might not be free for Kate to have a crush on now. Of course she kept those thoughts to herself. He knew she had a crush on him, but she wouldn't tell ALL her secrets.
She smiled when he mentioned going to America. "Sounds fun! New York sounds really awesome...and really busy, too," she said. "Which family members would you take me to see?" She kind of thought Colt might not be in touch with the ones who basically abandoned him as a child, but maybe they'd ended up coming around in the end. Then the pancakes were done, which put an even bigger smile on Kate's face. "I can't wait to taste them!" she said, pulling up a little stool and sitting down in front of her food.
Colt smiled warmly and accepted her words of confidence. "Thanks Kate.." He rolled his eyes playfully at the claw and said sarcastically back, "Yeahhh a crusshh. I am glad I am rid of her she was too clingy for my taste. I mean your perfect. Your waayyy better than her." And he totally meant that. Busy in New York was an understatement. It was crowded but it had personality. Oh the family members? He grinned and replied with, "Oh well I would take you to see my aunt and also my grandma. They are both lovely and would love to see you since they will consider you my girlfriend. I mean if I have a crush on someone it makes you automatically my girlfriend in their eyes." he shrugged. He didn't believe it but he didn't wanna scare Kate. "I don't wanna scare you but I am just bracing you."
With the pancakes done, he slid the pancakes on the plate and slid the plate to Kate. "Yeah you better like them." he joked with her. He took the frying pan off and turned the burner off. Now time to enjoy his pancakes. He got the fork and knifes and handed some to Kate. Now time to eat, he dug in right away. Yuummmm these were delicious! He closed his eyes because he was in heaven. He ate through his three pancakes rather quickly but waited for Kate to be done with her first batch. "I hope you like them."
