"Is it because it wasn't compatible with it's Sun anymore?" Angel wondered if that was why a planet died in the end and why people just left other people. So....no tea then?
Standing in the doorway, he observed Miss Valentine's movements with a raised speculative brow. A joke? Was that...what? "Have you been watching bad science fiction, Miss Valentine?" he asked slowly. Meri-berry have some of that on hand in her area? He ought to stop by there and inform her he would be combing through her muggle films and television series for inaccuracies and too fanciful to be legal watching materials. "Because...contrary to what you may have seen, planets are stable and causing one to explode would require some serious chemical or nuclear process which can provide an explosive punch of energy." Or had she forgotten the geocide lesson from a term or two ago already?
Although, there would come a time when the Sun and the Earth would not be...compatible...sort of...if you squinted and looked at it sideways. Swell up and become a red giant as big as the Earth's orbit and swallow it up, to be precise.
So...uh...tea? Quote:

The Gryffindor just wanted a nap--food and a nap, the really long kind where no one woke him up til the next morning with great news that all classes were cancelled on account of First Years not getting the magic right. He wouldn't mind that at all.
By now, he'd all but forgotten his fears of being in trouble with the Professor. There was simply too much else that he now needed to focus on--it was a wonder he remembered to show up at all but here he was, knocking at the door.
Tired. Dejected. Disenchanted with magic and all magical lessons. Hunched over some parchment with a quill in hand, Airey had only gotten as far as writing 'Dear' on one of them. Was that even the way one started these sorts of letters? How had he addressed the one to Mr. Hirase's parents? Where had he put his Professor-ing for Dummies text?
OH HARK! A KNOCK AT THE DOOR!
Time to postpone some of these responsibilities for a bit more. Thank you, mystery student. Or professor. Most likely a student.
Prancing over to the door, he pulled it opened and looked down. "Good day, Mr. Bellaire," he smiled, only then taking notice of the young man's demeanor. "Can I...help you with something?"
